At the end of August, Rory Capern, Twitter Canada’s managing director, abruptly departed the social media company.
Now, it’s been revealed that the long-time Canadian exec will head up partnerships for Pelmorex, a company that’s best known for The Weather Network.
Pelmorex has been busy transforming itself over the last two years to become an “information networks and data solutions business” and recently hired Sam Sebastian, the former managing director of Canadian operations for Google Canada.
“We are excited to have Rory join our team,” said Sebastian in a statement. “Rory brings a wealth of experience in the information and digital space that will assist Pelmorex in creating valuable partnerships to support our transformation and growth plans.”
Capern, who also worked at Google Canada, will be responsible for ensuring Pelmorex is positioned as “an advertising and insights leader in Canada.”
