Canadians who opted out of pre-ordering the latest products from Apple can now head over to any Apple Store, big box retailer, or carrier in Canada and hand over money for the iPhone SE and 9.7-inch iPad Pro.
As previously reported, the iPhone SE has the body of the two-year old iPhone 5s, but the internal specs of the iPhone 6s. The iPhone SE is available in Space Grey, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold and is powered by iOS 9.3 and an A9 processor. In addition, packed into the 4-inch device is a 12-megapixel iSight camera that supports HD video capture at 4K resolutions, and Touch ID with a built-in NFC chip that enables Apple Pay payments.
The no-term prices for the iPhone SE starts at $579 (CAD) for the 16GB model to $709 (CAD) for the 64GB version. Apple is selling the 4-inch phone unlocked while Canadian carriers are offering it locked to their respective network. As for carrier pricing, the 16GB starts as low as $0 and rises to $229 for the 64GB model.
The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is the smaller sibling to the 12.9-inch Pro released back in late 2015. The device also comes in Space Grey, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold and features same A9X processor found in the 12.9-inch tablet and runs iOS 9.3. the 9.7-inch iPad Pro has an improved 12-megapixel camera, supports Apple Pencil and comes with the same Smart Connector that enables the tablet to work with the company’s Smart Keyboard accessory.
Pricing for the 9.7-inch iPad Pro begins at $799 CAD for 32GB WiFi and tops out at $1,379 for 256GB WiFi + cellular connectivity version.
