Nintendo has released a Pokemon-themed New Nintendo 2DS XL in Canada.
Like the regular Nintendo 2DS, the New Poke Ball Edition 2DS XL plays all of the same games as the 3DS, only not in 3D. However, the New 2DS XL offers the same improvements introduced with the New 3DS family of systems — hence the shared ‘new’ moniker. As a result, the New 2DS XL features the same faster processor, 82 percent larger screens, additional ‘ZL,’ ‘ZR’ and ‘C-stick’ buttons and built-in NFC reader for amiibo support.
Unlike the New 3DS devices, the New 2DS XL also includes the AC adapter, which costs $14.99 CAD on its own.
It’s worth noting that the Poke Ball-themed 2DS XL costs $209.99 CAD, while the regular New Nintendo 2DS XL costs $199.99.
