Facebook-owned Instagram recently updated its app with account switching functionality, giving its 400 million users the ability to operate multiple Instagram accounts without logging out to switch between them. The popular photo and video sharing service rolled out two-factor authentication and now it has brought video views to the forefront.
Videos uploaded to Instagram now display how many times they have been played, similar to parent company Facebook, and rival Vine, in an effort to increase ad revenue. Video views replace the “Like” tally, but users still have the option to like the post and account holders can see who has given love in a separate tab.
