SwiftKey for Android is getting a significant upgrade that brings more than just support for new languages or stability improvements.
The latest update brings performance enhancements as well as more responsive typing, faster switching between fields, and reductions in keyboard quit time and the time it takes for the keyboard to appear. The SwiftKey team is claiming load times that are 15-20 percent faster than the previous version of the app.
In addition to the above performance improvements, SwiftKey for Android now supports a total of 81 languages. Today’s update adds Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Nepali, and Sinhala. There’s also emoji prediction support for 14 more languages including Bulgarian, Finnish, Romanian, and Ukrainian.
