Reports claim Android 15 to roll out in October

Even though the Pixel phones were ready, Android 15 was not

After Google released the new Pixel 9 series in August running on Android 14, many users have been wondering where Android 15 is.

Usually, Google releases its latest mobile OS around the launch of the Pixel phones, but since the phone’s release was moved up to August this year, this is the first year in a while that Android’s latest update will launch on its own.

Notable Android journalist Mishaal Rahman has spotted that Google has updated the wording around the ‘Android beta exit OTA,’ which says that Android 15 is coming in October. This makes sense since the Pixels used to come out in October.

If you are on the Android 15 Beta, you can use the Exit OTA to wipe your phone and restore it to stable Android 14, or you can wait for the full version of Android 15 to release and update to that without wiping your device.
