It seems a new BlackBerry device has hit the hands of testers.
A device titled Qualcomm BBF100-1 hit benchmarking platform Geekbench on November 21st, featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and 6GB of RAM.
The handset fits within the naming conventions of a BlackBerry model number, which generally start with ‘BB’ and then a third letter. For instance, the BlackBerry KEYone’s model number is BBB100-X, where X stands for a different number depending on region.
There’s some speculation that this unreleased handset could, in fact, be the successor to the TCL-produced KEYone, given the timing somewhat lines up to last year’s reveal of a KEYone prototype, then known as Mercury, to press.
Previous reports suggest the new BlackBerry will feature a QWERTY keyboard and 1620 x 1080p display.
