Instagram has started rolling out new business-focused features aimed at small to mid-sized businesses, according to Wired UK.
Announced at this past June, among the new features is a specialized profile that includes a dedicated contact button, allowing users to call, email or message a business without leaving the confines of the photo-sharing app. Taking a page from parent company Facebook, Instagram has also added a framework to allow businesses to pay to promote a post.
According to Engadget, Instagram’s new business-focused features will rollout throughout Europe first, with launches in Australia, New Zealand and the U.S., to follow in the “coming months.” The new features are set to complete rolling out by the end of the year.
We’ve reached out to Facebook Canada to get a more exact date on when the company plans to release the new features to Canadian businesses. Stay tuned.
