While it has a long way to go before it challenges the likes of Twitch and YouTube gaming, Twitter has announced it’s preparing to stream its first ever e-sports event.
In partnership with Turner Broadcasting and Eleague, the social media platform will stream the latter’s Atlanta Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament. Starting today at 5 p.m. EST, Twitter users will be able to watch the tournament’s semi-finals, as well as its championship match on Saturday at 4pm EST.
Unlike past sporting events Twitter has streamed on its platform, this weekend’s CS:GO action is available to watch in both the U.S. and Canada.
