Wind Mobile has released a new plan today that wants to “cell phone horror stories,” according to the company, which is somewhat similar to its “bill shock” plans from yesteryear.
Citing a Google-commissioned survey, the carrier says that 36% of Canadians believe their cell phone bills are too high. Its proposal is to remedy this by releasing a new $39 per month plan that includes unlimited data, talk and text – a reduction of $6 from the current $45 plan.
Here are the complete details of the plan:
- Unlimited data (up to 5GB at full speed)
- Unlimited calls to Canada and the USA
- Unlimited global texting
- International calling rates starting at 1¢/min
- Unlimited picture and video messaging to Canada and the USA
- Voicemail+
The fine print states that the promo ends September 30th, or when the carrier decides to remove it from its website. In addition, the promo is compatible with the Better Together savings and BYOD.
Update: Wind Mobile announced today that it has extended its back-to-school promo until Sunday, October 18th.
