We’ve heard a lot of talk about the Xperia Z4, which is rumoured to be coming in two different variations. However, it seems Sony has another Z4-branded product. According to the Xperia Blog, Sony itself has confirmed plans for a Z4 tablet.
The tablet was spotted on Xperia Lounge all evidence of the device was removed, but thanks to its brief appearance on Sony’s own app, we know that the device will have a 2K display and “industry leading battery performance” along with a current generation “ultra fast” processor. The screenshots posted on Xperia Blog also include a March 3rd date, which suggests this device will likely break cover during MWC next week.
The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact just hit Canada in November following an IFA unveiling in September of last year. The device only launched at Rogers in January! However, there’s a good chance that Xperia Z4 Tablet is actually a larger form factor device, which would put it up against the likes of the iPad and the Nexus 9 as opposed to Sony’s own smaller, compact tablet from last fall.
