Google’s note taking app, Keep, has been updated with a refreshed interface and a new reminders feature today, as the company attempts to slowly eat away at Evernote’s dominance.
The app, which debuted on Android in March and hadn’t been updated since April, has gained time- and location-based reminders, which link with Google Now for easy voice parsing.
The company said in a blog post that users can select a location or time for the reminder to trigger, something that many productivity apps, Evernote included, are not yet able to do.
Keep is also available on Chrome and the web, though it has not been released for iOS. The Android update also adds a new left-side sliding bar, aligning it with other recent Google apps.
The app is rolling out slowly, so if you haven’t received it yet, check back in a few hours.
