Iconic Canadian Wayne Gretzky and Train, the famed band from the early 2000’s, are on tap to dazzle onlookers when Microsoft opens their first retail location in Toronto. Those interested in getting a signature, snapping pics, or buying a Surface or Windows Phone device, should mark November 16th and 17th on their calendars.
Microsoft notes on their site that “Come to the Microsoft retail store at the Yorkdale Shopping Centre for a chance to play Kinect and meet Wayne Gretzky on November 16. Celebrate the Grand Opening of the Yorkdale Shopping Centre Microsoft retail store on November 17, and get complimentary wristbands¹ to a special performance by Train.”
As for the fine print for the Train wristbands… seems like you have to lineup on the 16th to score a chance of attending the free concert: “The first 200 people in line for the Microsoft opening on Friday, November 16th, will receive two complimentary premier viewing wristbands for the Train performance on Saturday, November 17th.”
Unfortunately Jessica Alba, who’s now a Windows Phone 8 user from iPhone, will not be there. Better start lining up…
