Starbucks Canada launched an iPhone app last year with the ability to pay for drinks using a virtual barcode version of your card. With today’s update to version 2.2, you can now reload your card using PayPal, with easy per-card auto-reload settings.
The app has also been tweaked for improved stability and performance, and integration with iOS 5’s Twitter API. You can read all about the company’s new coffees and save your favourites for future reference.
As a frequenter at Starbucks, I rarely take out my wallet to pay anymore. The vast majority of stores in Canada are iOS card-enabled, and you can even use My Coffee Card for Android to pay and reload your cards.
