Mobilicity officially announced their wireless offering today and customers can go to any of their Toronto locations tomorrow morning and pick up a device or 2 or 6… They have the following handsets available and believe they will also be releasing a Data Stick soon too: BlackBerry Bold 9700 for $499.99; Nokia 5230 for $169.99 (Bluetooth headset included); Mobilicity “Totem” for $99.99; Sony Ericsson TM506 for $99.99; Huawei U7519 for $109.99 and the HTC Snap for $199.99.
In addition, Mobilicity has 6 plans that range from $15 – $65 and all plans are unlimited, include free caller ID, Mobilicity to Mobilicity calling, unlimited texting across North America. In addition, Mobilicity has an addon for $20 called “Unlimited Asia” that provides unlimited calling to India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea or Japan. If you do go outside their coverage zone you’ll hop onto either Rogers and pay roaming rates of $0.20 per minute when you’re in Canada, and $0.50 per minute while roaming in the in the U.S. with T-Mobile. One more unique feature to note is they created something called “My Wallet” that deducts money from your account so you won’t be surprised a massive bill. This service informs you of where your account balance is and when you’ll need to put more money into it.
