Earlier this week, Motorola announced a version of the Droid Turbo for South America. Dubbed the Moto Maxx, the device is a beast. Unfortunately, it seems any hopes we had that the device might some day make it to Canada have been dashed.
Motorola Canada has confirmed on Twitter that the device won’t be making a trip north of the US border. In response to one Twitter user asking about availability in Canada, Motorola responded:
“Thanks for reaching out! There are no plans to bring #MotoMaxx to Canada. Let us know if you have any other Qs.”
In case you missed it, the Moto Maxx packs a 5.2-inch 1440 x 2560 (565 ppi) Super AMOLED display, and is powered by a Snapdragon 805 chipset with a quad-core 2.7GHz Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 graphics. It also boasts 3GB of RAM, 64GB of onboard storage, a 21MP camera, and a 3900mAh battery with fast-charging capabilities that offer eight hours of up time on just 15 minutes of charging.
