China-base Drone manufacturer DJI revealed its latest flying camera — an foldable, highly portable, under $1,000 USD drone (about $1,321 CAD) called the Mavic Pro.
The drone features 27 minutes of flight time and has the ability to broadcast live HD video directly to an iPhone via a connected controller, all at a distance of up to 7 km. The drone’s controller is also foldable and securely cradles an iPhone of any size because it can be adjusted.
The DJI Mavic Pro’s main competitor is the $799USD ($1056 CAD) Karma, another foldable, flying camera recently revealed by Go Pro.
The Karma, however, doesn’t include a GoPro camera, though a bundle with the Hero5 Session camera, which doesn’t ship until 2017, is available for $999 ($1,321).
