Microsoft brought Office to Android and iOS last year, but in a statement today have promised they have “not forgotten Windows Phone.” According a message to Windows Phone users on New Year’s Day from Joe Belfiore, Corporate Vice President at Microsoft, the company will roll out new features for Office on Windows Phone in the coming weeks. The letter noted that “we’re just aligning all of our news and announcements to a single event. You’ll hear much more about what we have planned before Chinese New Year.”
Chinese New Year is happening on February 19th and there is a slight possibility we could hear more details about Office and other Microsoft Windows Phone initiatives at its upcoming analyst meeting on January 21st.
