Waiting in line at Service Ontario for a new health card is now a chore of the past, as Ontarians can finally renew their card online.
To renew a health card, online users will need a valid driver’s license and to have lived at the same address for at least 90 days.
Those interested can renew their card online, although any details currently associated with it can’t be altered. Renewing a card online still costs nothing, which is the same as when people renew their cards in person at a Service Ontario location.
“Modernizing the way we deliver services is part of the government’s plan to support care, create opportunity and make life more affordable during this period of rapid economic change,” reads a May 1st press release sent to MobileSyrup.
Ontario residents can renew their driver’s licenses online, as well through the same website.
