LG’s upcoming Eclipse LS970 superphone is going to be a beast, if all the rumours are to be expected. According to newly-leaked photos of the phone there will indeed be a removable 2100mAh battery, as well built-in NFC to round out the feature set.
The phone looks wide — look how much extra space there is next to the battery — and there looks to be a 13MP camera module with LED flash below. In addition to 2GB RAM inside the chassis, there will be a 1.5Ghz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, LTE-compatible baseband and 16GB of internal storage. The screen looks to mirror what we’ll see in the upcoming Optimus LTE 2 and Optimus 4X HD at 4.67-inches and 1280×768 resolution.
At this point we’re not sure whether the Eclipse will come to Canada — it’s destined for Sprint or another CDMA carrier like Verizon — but we’re hoping it will be adapted for GSM networks, as there is a lot to love here.
What do you think? Would you buy the LS970 if it crossed the border?
