A few weeks back LG formally announced the LG Optimus LTE, an Android 2.3 device that literally comes stacked with impressive specs: 4.5–inch “True HD IPS” display that has a resolution of 1280 x 720, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 8 megapixel camera that shoots 1080p HD videos, 1830 mAh battery and 10.4 mm thin. Solid device and is LTE-capable, which would mean that one of our carriers could essentially release this. However, LG Canada sent us note saying they “don’t have any information regarding a Canadian launch, we’re keeping our fingers crossed”.
Guess it’s time to uncross those fingers and get ready to grab hold of this Android. A promo video has surfaced online from Bell-owned retailer The Source that shows off the Optimus LTE, but is called the “Eye”. Even though Bell and LG haven’t officially declared this device to be landing in Canada, the promo vid verbally confirms this it to be heading to Bell, most likely sometime in November as part of their “Superphone” category.
