The beloved indie game from Markham, Ontario's Kan Gao has never been on consoles before

Developer Freebird’s acclaimed indie game To the Moon is coming to the Nintendo Switch sometime this summer.

Directed by Markham, Ontario-based game designer Kan Gao, the game follows two doctors as they try to honour a dying man’s final wishes using artificial memories.

Unlike most other adventure games, To the Moon features no combat and instead pushes players to uncover more narrative and solve new puzzles.

To the Moon debuted on PC in November 2011 before making its way to Android and iOS in May 2017. However, the upcoming Switch port marks the game’s first-ever console availability.

It’s worth noting that there’s currently no word on whether To the Moon‘s 2017 sequel Finding Paradise or 2014 related “mini-episode” A Bird Story will also come to the Switch.

Both follow-up titles are currently only available on PC and Mac.
