HTC’s entry-level Desire 530 can be purchased unlocked through the company’s online store, or can now be bought from both Wind Mobile and Quebec-based Videotron.
The Desire 530 features a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage with a 5-inch 720p display. HTC notes the Desire 530 also features a 8 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front-facing shooter. Furthermore, the Desire 530 is equipped with HTC’s BoomSound and is powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Unfortunately, there is no indication of a future update to Android 7.0 Nougat.
As for the cost, similar to the $199 unlocked price via HTC, Wind Mobile and Videotron are also selling the Stratus White model for the no-term cost of $199, or as low as $0 on contract.
