Apple seeds third iOS 9.3 and watchOS 2.2 betas to developers

Apple is constantly working on new features for iOS and watchOS, its popular mobile and smartwatch operating systems. Since the launch of its public beta program, the company has been more forthcoming about upcoming features, even allowing interested users to try out new updates early.

Today, Apple has released the third developer beta of iOS 9.3 and watchOS 2.2, which contain Night Shift, the company’s new f.lux-like colour-changing feature; a new option to put a Touch ID lock on the Notes app for iPhone and iPad; as well a brand new Maps app on the Apple Watch, among other things. We wrote a full overview of iOS 9.3’s more interesting features back in January.

The final release of the iOS 9.3 and watchOS 2.2 updates is expected to happen at Apple’s rumoured spring event, which is currently set to go down the week of March 14. The company will reportedly use this event to announce a new iPad, a new 4-inch iPhone and new Apple Watch models. If you’re interested in checking out the betas, but aren’t a developer, the public beta releases of the other iOS 9.3 and watchOS 2.2 betas have come within 48 hours, and you can sign up here.
