When Motorola officially announced the Moto 360 earlier this year, the company had multiple watch straps to show off. There was the black and grey leather straps that we will see when the device launches in Canada, but also a silver link strap that looked a lot like the band on the Pebble steel.
Despite the fact that the Moto 360 launched in the United States over a month ago and will arrive in Canada October 31st, Motorola has kept quiet about the arrival of the silver version with metal band. Now, listings on Amazon suggest that Motorola has a gold Moto 360 in the works, one that is sized for both men and women.
The listings were pulled but the cache is still available. From there we can see that Amazon lists Motorola as the seller and, though we don’t have an exact release date, the product page carries a ship time of 1-2 months. We expect Motorola to ship this version before the end of the year.
What’s interesting is that this is not just a new, 23mm gold strap. The body of the actual watch is gold, too. Furthermore, there’s a second listing with a thinner band. This version also has a gold strap but it’s a slimmer 18mm. Presumably Motorola will market this narrower band towards women, though the watch module itself is the same size as always.
There’s also a brown leather band (pardon me, “Cognac”), but it’s less remarkable given it’s sold with the silver Moto 360, which we’ve already seen paired with the grey leather strap. Nothing to see here.
