Mobile games often have a negative stigma attached to them; because they’re played on a touchscreen, they must be boring, basic and thrown together in only a few months, right?
This is a perception Square Enix has been working towards quashing with its superb ‘Go’ franchise, and no, the series has nothing to do with Pokemon Go. The next entry in the franchise, following the release of Hitman Go and Lara Croft Go, is Deus Ex Go, a board game-like turn-based spinoff of the Deus Ex series.
While the game has dropped ahead of the release of the next core entry in the series, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Deus Ex Go is much more than a promotional title filled with annoying in-app purchases. The game offers the same intricate turn-based gameplay the Go franchise is known for, but with an added dose of stealth.
Update – November 17th: Square Enix has put Deus Ex Go on sale for $1.39 in Canada for both the iOS and Android versions.
Deus Ex Go is available on iOS and Android for $6.99.
