With all the promotions going on between the Canadian carriers, perhaps all this new competition is finally doing something for us customers. Rogers has now joined the Bell and TELUS by offering the same 6 months of unlimited calling… the downside is that it’s for new activations and a 3-year contract must be signed to get it. Check out the memo that was sent over to us:
“LIMITED TIME OFFER 6 Months Unlimited Local Calling!!! Telus and Bell have recently escalated the market nationally with a 6 month unlimited calling offer (vs. a restricted offer Rogers had in select locations for a very limited duration). In response to this, Rogers will be launching a competitive match starting March 24th ,2010 . Any new customer who activates on an eligible in-market plan will get 6 month unlimited local calling. This promotion expires March 31, 2010 (midnight)!
The bonus is available on the following 3-year term plans:
Unlimited Value Plans for phones
Unlimited Value Plans for Smartphones
iPhone plans
Couples & Family Share Plans
Student Plans
All Small Business plans excluding Canadian One Rate & North American
One Rate plans, EPP plans
The promotion is available for new activations only.”
(Thanks HK!)
