WIND Mobile is looking to increase their subscriber numbers and is taking direct aim at its competitors. What seems to be a move from when they first launched back in 2008, the almost 700,000 sub-strong carrier is offering a free-month of service when either Mobilicity or Public Mobile customers port over.
The deal officially starts tomorrow and lasts until May 11th. As for specifics, this offer is good on any of WIND’s current monthly plans (WIND 25, WIND 35, WIND 39, WIND 40, WIND 50 & WIND 60), compatible with WINDtab, and you’ll receive a “one-time service credit equal to one month’s recurring rate plan fees within 30 days of activation.”
Public Mobile, who’s part of TELUS, has about 222,000 wireless subscribers. Mobilicity, who could eventually be part of TELUS, has 165,000 subscribers.
Look for this to go live tomorrow.
