Microsoft SkyDrive is now OneDrive, and the company is pushing its cloud agenda (if there is such a thing) very hard.
In addition to launching a new way to earn up to 8GB of storage on the web (on top of the 7GB you get for free when signing up), Microsoft has updated its OneDrive app for Android to allow for automatic background uploads, similar to the way Google+ Photos or Dropbox does it. This feature was already included in the iOS and Windows Phone apps.
Available for Android 4.0+ users, the functionality allows for automatically backing up photos and videos to the cloud in the background. The new version also improves interplay with Office for Android and OneNote for Android, with document editing more seamlessly integrated throughout.
