Looking for a trip to Vegas? Sony Ericsson and Carlsberg have brewed up a new competition called “Best Mate”. There are 2 parts to this competition.
In Part 1 (goes until May 10th) you enter all your personal info, then describe your “best mate qualities” in a 150 words or less of why you or your friend should be considered the Best Mate… then upload a Photo or video capturing that Story.
According to the promo site “We’re looking for the best of the best, the popular of the popular. The guy that can make every situation better, is always connected and never let’s anything stand in teh way of a good time”. Once you put your story in, all entries will be honed down to a final 30 and award each finalis at a new Sony Ericsson W705. So if this portion of the contest goes until May 10th, you can expect the W705 to launch on Rogers around that date.
In Part 2 of the competition (May 25, 2009 and June 21, 2009), all 30 contestants will be provided a Carlsberg Facebook Fan Page. Each of the 30 finalists will be encouraged to invite his/her friends to join their Fan Page and post photos, upload videos, blog stories to create the best Carlsberg Fan Page.
The judges will take a look at all the Fan Pages and award the one Grand Prize valued at $10,000 of a trip for 4 to Las Vegas, Nevada in September 2009. You will get airfare, 3 nights hotel accommodation and limo transportation.
