Apple has sent out a press release stating that Canada and 16 other countries will be getting the new iPhone 4 on Friday: “Beginning this Friday, customers can purchase iPhone 4 in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. iPhone 4 will be available for purchase through Apple’s retail and online stores and Apple Authorized Resellers.”
Currently the Canadian carriers that have promised to sell the iPhone 4 are Rogers, Fido, Bell, TELUS and Virgin. No word on official pricing but in other countries the 16GB model is available for $199 and the 32GB model is available for $299. The new iPhone will only be available in black with the white version coming later this year.
