Windows Phone 7 devices have been a rare breed in Canada – that’s why I’m thrilled to announce this contest! Up for grabs is the brand new TELUS Nokia Lumia 800! This device is powered by the Mango OS and has a 3.7-inch AMOLED ClearBlack display (resolution of 480 x 800), 1.4 GHz Snapdragon Processor, 8MP Carl Zeiss Camera with dual LED flash that records 720p HD videos. This retails for $529.99, but you have a chance to win it!

All you have to do to enter this contest is: Follow us and re-tweet this contest on Twitter (@mobilesyrup), “Like Us” on Facebook (Facebook.com/MobileSyrup), or join us on Google +. All current Facebook, Forum, Twitter and Google + followers are automatically entered. This contest closes March 23rd and we’ll announce the winner shortly after.

    I’ve always been happy to see the contests here on MobileSyrup. I have this “it would be awesome if I won” sort of attitude, but I’m glad to see so many passionate about mobile people taking home the prize.

    This is the first one I really want to win for myself. My fingers are crossed and I’ll be waiting for an announcement about the winner with great anticipation!

      Just get it carrier-unlocked. Either pay $50 at a TELUS location or go to a site like cellunlocker.net and once you have the code, get a micro SIM from Bell, drop it in and enter the unlock code when prompted. I’m hoping I’ll be doing this soon, as the 800 is my sexytime dream phone…

    Hmmm…I just sold my unlocked Samsung Focus and I already am experiencing sellers remorse. I would love to get back into the WP game. It is my favorite OS and I have had my fair share of Nokias over the years. This would be a great fit for me. I would love to be able to all this baby mine.

    Love that you guys are constantly giving out free phones, but with 25,000 twitter followers + 22,000 likes on Facebook…. kinda kills the excitement of a chance at winning.

    Anyway way to in the future make it that only people who continully read/devoted to the site are more likely to win vs someone who just have to follow you once and never think of it again?

      Exactly, maybe a contest that’s not announced on FB, Twitter or G+, and only on the main site, or maybe you need 25 forum posts before you can enter.

      Yeah, I wish it was people who retweet on twitter, like the post on facebook, +1 on google+, or…I guess all forum users. Or maybe add a new forum section and everyone who says something in the post or something is entered.

      Having people have to actively opt-in to the contest is great for making people A) Read the site more often, and B) feel like they have entered and participated.

    Holy geez I would love to get this phone. I have been waiting for it ever since it was release in the UK. I’ve spent a week selling these things going “Damn, do I ever want to buy one” but can’t feasibly afford it at the time.

    Telus is the worst in terms of pricing among plans and phones among the Big 3. The pricing on this phone is a joke considering rogers will be releasing the Lumia 900.Telus keep this price gouging up and soon there wont be a Big 3 just big 2. Also how about getting some flagship exclusive phones Telus. The government should seriously allow in foreign competition. Some may argue jobs will be lost but think about this Telus has outsourced a majority of its call centre jobs to the Phillipines. Foreign competition will lower prices on plans and Canadians will finally get more decent plans.

      until someone does something about the CRTC, we will be forever stuck with the big 3. WIND mobile may be doing very well, but they are still the red headed bastard child of the mobile companies in Canada. They have the slowest network speeds, terrible coverage, and are restricted to home zones.

      I hope for the love of god that they can get some LTE spectrum at the new auction so that i can leave telus and return to wind.

      I had wind for 8 months, went to my girlfriends cottage and got my car stuck in a ditch. I could not call anyone because i was on a prepaid wind plan and i was outside of a home zone. I had to walk 3 KM out to the highway and call over to someone to help tow me out.

      I switched to telus as soon as i got back to toronto on a 3 yr iphone contract.

      Im paying 20 dollars more per month and getting half of what i did at wind.

      This country badly needs some new phone providers. T-Mobile in the states offers unlimited plans like wind and they have nation wide coverage, none of those stupid zone restrictions.

    Also if any of telus employees are on this website please thank Darren Entwistle for effectively screwing up Telus a once great Canadian company. If youre gonna outsource then may as well just have foreign competitors and end this price gouging. Robellus is a bunch of crooks but at least Rogers keeps all its employees in Canada. “Robellus screwing over each Canadians one cellphone at a time.”

    they are complete crooks..

    but i would like to win this phone..

    i see on Telus website there is only a choice of 3 non smart phones left to choose from.. and the choice is crappy.

    And under the smartphones the non contract prices are huge. You can see they are totally going for gouge on the no contract price so people opt for the 2 – 3 year contract.

    and the non smart phones are so crappy people decide to get a smart phone and then they get sucked into additional must have data plans because they are under contract. even though with most smart phones you can use wi-fi only..

    I’m with Telus because i work in the Northern provinces and the service is the best with them..

    But they are blatant thieves. nickel and dime you for everything and overcharge you for everything.
