Virgin creates “Rock Box” Samsung r610

virgin-rock-boxWith the Summer fast approaching and Virgin Festival just around the corner, the fine folks over at Virgin Mobile have created the “Rock Box”. This is basically the Samsung r610 with Virgin throwing in free Virgin Festival tones, a Stereo headset and a massive 64MB microSD memory card.

The Samsung r610 is a slider phone with a 2.1 inch screen, 1.3 megapixel camera, speakerphone, Bluetooth, measures 4.06 x 1.96 x .5 inches and weighs in at 2.92 ounces. This is available on the following price plans: 3-year: $0.00; 2-year: $0.00; 1-year: $149.99; 30 Days: $199.99 and Prepaid: $79.99

  1. It's not on the site anymore, but they used to sell an old, ugly Nokia flip phone and call it the Rock Box too.

  2. Yup – my Nokia flip phone Rock Box is old and maybe on the ugly side but still works great with its original battery. Stays charged for days and days and will not be replaced until it no longer functions. Ugly can be beautiful! Gail :)
