Note 7 goes on back on sale in Korea

Note 7

Sales of the Note 7, Samsung’s latest smartphone, have restarted in Korea following a global recall.

Retailers in Samsung’s home market began selling the new Note 7, which features a safer battery, over the weekend. Samsung says sales of its new handset will restart in other markets within the next few weeks.

In an interview with MobileSyrup, Paul Brannen, COO of Samsung Canada, gave a similar timeline.

“Samsung’s first priority is to fulfill devices for customers who have registered for the Canadian Product Exchange,” he said. “We have started to ship replacement devices and anticipate fulfilling the customer demand in early October and will look at selling devices through our channels in the mid-October timeframe.”
