Rogers is adding a few more accessories to their arsenal this summer. The wireless carrier announced today that they’ll be making a few FitBit products available later this month. FitBit is wearable tech that’s beautifully designed, connects to your iOS and Android devices, and allows you to track sleep patterns, steps, and count your calories.

In an email to us, Rogers stated that the “FitBit Flex Wireless Activity and sleep band will retail for $99.99 and the FitBit Zip wireless activity tracker will retail for $59.99.” Check out our quick hands-on here of the FitBit Flex.

Update: Rogers has now made the FitBit Flex and FitBit Zip available online and in-stores. As expected, the prices are $99.99 and $59.99 and you can check them out here.

I’ve been looking for the flex around town, is it totally sold out, or just not on sale. The clip on fitbit is a nifty little accessory, my wife has one and really enjoys it. Not sure why Rogers is selling it though….

Maybe as part of the deal with Rogers, FitBit agreed to keep them scarce in Canada?

    • hunkyleepickle

I would not put that past them actually….

Track sleep patterns? Rogers is very innovative; they got your money while you’re awake. Why not find a way to steal your money while you’re asleep?

This is not a Roger’s exclusive device of their own FYI.

    • Lookslikevin

Yes, I am aware of this. My point was that Roger’s might tweak it. They already have their security system which basically gives them a little too much access into your home.

    • E. R

That is true. That is why one never buys such things from Rogers.

    • Will

That is insane – Rogers is not tweaking anything. Come back to reality folks :-P

It is funny whenever the Big 3 is selling something, there are always people giving negative comments. It’s getting kind of old and boring. Why waste your time to comment or even read this news? Just move on. Some people like it and some don’t.

    • Lookslikevin

Tell your boss I was just playing and didn’t mean any harm. Let them know that a sense of humour is free. Maybe they’ll find a way to charge for that as well.

    • Lookslikevin

Furthermore, you said some people like it and some people don’t. Does one of the “C’s” stand for contradiction? Let the people who want to read it; read it and enjoy. Many people are tired of the big three trying to take more and more pie.

I bought mine at amazon dot ca in early June. It’s a terrific device and does exactly what it says. It interacts with Samsung Galaxy S III that i have, including real-time updates. These devices are the wave of the future. Kudos to Rogers for taking this, erm, step forward.

How odd that rogers is selling a device they can’t charge a monthly fee for.

  • fruvous

Hmmm, is the FitBit Roger’s way to fight back against Verizon?
