Chrome for Android has been updated to version 25.0.1364.123, which is slightly newer than the latest Chrome Beta channel release. This amalgamates all the previous updates from the beta, including significant performance improvements when scrolling and zooming, and faster load times thanks to a beefed-up V8 Javascript engine.

In addition to higher HTML5 standards compliance, Chrome for Android can now play audio in the background. For an example of this, head to Grooveshark or Hype Machine and test it out. This doesn’t seem to extend to YouTube, unfortunately, but it’s still a great addition.

Do I need something enabled? If I press the home button the audio in the browser stops.

So does it run as good as the Android browser or boat browser yet? Or is it still laggy and stuttery?
