The next LTE-enabled device to come to Canada will be the Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE. This will be hitting Bell stores on May 3rd and comes with some respectable specs: 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED dispaly, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 8MP camera that shoots 1080p HD videos, 2MP front-facing camera, launches with OS 2.3 but will be upgraded to 4.0 ICS “in coming months.”
There was no pricing listed on the official press release, nor the Bell site. Only that it’s “coming soon” and that we can sign up “to receive the latest news.” We’ve received an internal doc that shows some potentially solid pricing for this Android. Seems to be a placeholder for all terms but the $549.95 that’s listed is something to think about, especially for a HD LTE “Superphone.” If true, the Galaxy S II HD LTE will come in $50 less than the no-contract price of the original Galaxy S II.
