    • For prepaid, they have the $50 Prepaid gift card (rogers.com/paygogift50 or fido.ca/gift50) plus for prepaid and postpaid, FidoTRADE(fido.ca/fidotrade) has a $50 bonus.

What disappoints me is that the deadline is coming close, but i can’t activate my prepaid plan online. i guess i’ll have to go in store. i really want a gift card with my 2720!

Chatr has a bonus offer too, of $80 instead of $60.

They may not be the best deals, but for those who don’t live in AWS regions, they’re better than nothing.

    • Does that mean that Hardware upgrade would be eligible for the credit? Please and thank you.

    • Not sure, James.

Matt, the $200 Mobility credit would work like their TV credit: instant and in-store. Unfortunately, they wouldn’t honour the $200 Internet credit they promised me. Buyer beware!

  4. Guys, don’t forget you have to pay $35 + tax for the activation fee for the big three. Its sub-brand and newbies are not ripping you off like this!

  5. Wrong. To all new custommers for the first month Bell credits the whole month. So on a 50$ a month plan you even get 50$ off not 35$.

  13. Staples has $40 off the ipad 2. Galaxy 10.1 Tab is $50 off at Future Shop, and Galaxy S2 LTE is free with a 3 year contract for Rogers at Future Shop. I don’t know why Rogers wouldn’t offer the special directly.

  15. what i want to know is what kind of deals can i get on plans… sure saving a hundred or two on a phone is great, but what about getting 20% off your plan for the next 3 years.

  16. These deals are s**t! You’re still tied down to a rediculous 3 year contract. Slash the price of a phone being bought out right and I might be interested.

  17. Keep in mind these are on 3-year NEW ACTIVATIONS. So a lot of people will end up having to jump from other carriers (no upgrades allowed on these deals).

  18. @jay…

you don’t really seem to understand how they make money, they make next to nothing off of prepaid customers… they can make a hell of a lot more off of post paid customers who give regular payment.. they don’t make anything off of an outright purchase.. so why the hell should they make it cheaper for a btichy customer like you when they could get a better customer for 3 years?

    • @joe bitching at Jay, Jay is right to complain. You even admit it that they are sapping more monthly payments out of the customer by putting them on 3 years. If they had they way they would have 10 year contracts. We moved off cdma to gsm and now we have the freedom of switching phones. Number portability is another. We voice our complaints and folks like Shaw, Videotron, windicity, etc make their customers happy and can still make a profit with enough customers.

We vote with our wallet. And my wallet is not paying for a 50 dollar rebate so that i be slaved in a contract for 36x$50(min). Customer is loosing and shareholders are gaining. Both have to win for it to be a good deal.

One would be a fool to be lured on these types of rebates. Cheaper to buy and sell your phones… thanks to GSM and number portability. Wake up Canada.
