We can’t think of anything better to do than giveaway one of the hottest devices to come to Canada. The Palm Pre has won some major awards this year, specifically at CES 2009 the Pre won CNET’s Best in Show and People’s Voice Award. This is officially released in Canada and the 2nd country in the world to launch this new touchscreen! So you order through Bell or take your chances with us and possibly win one here!
To enter, all you have to do is submit your name in the comment section below and you’ll be entered into the contest. No strings attached. You can only enter your name once and this is open to all Canadians. The contest ends Tuesday, September 8th at 4:00pm (EST) and we’ll announce our randomly selected winner at 5:00pm (EST).
Bell has put a $650 retail value on the Palm Pre and this comes with a 3.1 inch touchscreen (320×480 resolution), full QWERTY keyboard, Built-in GPS, music player, 3.5 mm headset jack, can hold up to 8GB of memory, get apps from the App Catalog, 3-megapixel camera with LED flash, full HTML browser (with accelerometer), run multiple applications at the same time, Universal Search, IM, Palm Synergy brings your Outlook, Google, and Facebook calendars together.

I put my touch diamond in the washing machine, spent 3wks fixing it (baking in oven with silica gel, contact cleaner, containers of rice, etc..) and finally got it sorta working — most buttons don’t work, and the screen is only half visible. Also, battery only lasts 15min tops… Not valid for warranty, not eligible for HW Upgd.
Your reviews have convinced a die-hard WinMob user/hacker that switching to a Pre would be the best — and that is quite the feat! The Pre.. finally a device that doesn’t _need_ hacking to get it to work the way it should have in the first place.

This is a really interesting product and story for Palm… They need a home run here, most of the money was spend on getting the product ready and not much left for marketing. In technology it's not always the better product that wins. And this is one amazing product (hardware and Apps). Hopefully there is enough grass roots excitement to make this a home run.
