The LCBO is set to expand its digital portfolio in 2018.
According to a report from the Toronto Star, the Crown corporation in charge of regulating Ontario’s alcohol market will be launching a ‘Click and Collect’ service in spring 2018.
The LCBO’s new chief customer officer Joyce Gray spoke with the Star about the service, comparing it to the LCBO’s home-delivery service.
“The difference with click-and-collect is that you’ll be able to order and pick up in the store in a four- to five-hour time period, so if you’re having a party or something, you can order and drop by the store to pick it up on your way home that day,” said Gray. “Having different types of delivery that people can choose from is a way to ensure that we are viable to our customer and we’re providing them the services that are important to them.”
Gray joined the LCBO in July 2017, after having worked for Disney, the Gap and Indigo.
The LCBO launched its online store for in-store and home delivery in July 2016.
