Dayframe, from the makers of HD Widgets, uses your social networks as a smartphone screensaver

The creators of popular widget app HD Widgets are back with something a bit different. Cloud.tv has introduced Dayframe in open beta, and will release the app to the world on November 12th.

The idea is pretty simple, but equally compelling: a screensaver of sorts that, when your Android phone or tablet is plugged in, engages with Daydream mode (introduced in Android 4.2) and displays photos from your social feeds.

The app is perfect for anyone who keeps their device in a dock at home or work and likes to watch a slow moving portrait of the day’s events.

To enter into the open beta, head to the app’s Google+ Community page, opt in to the beta, and download it from the Play Store.
