This is as clear as it gets. Yet another image of the LG G5 has leaked, revealing the device in all its glory.

The pictures seen below were shared by reputable device leaker Evan Blass, who has since removed them for some reason. They show both the G5’s front and rear. These follow all the previous press images we’ve seen surface, confirming design features like the side volume buttons, dual camera on the back and fingerprint scanner.

It’s also possible to clearly see the G5’s Magic Slot modular port, a feature LG hopes will help the G5 differentiate itself from other smartphones by allowing users to take advantage of various accessories, such as an extra battery and camera attachments.

LG will officially unveil the G5 on February 21 at 7:20am EST, which the company is stating will be its “biggest mobile innovation yet.”

I don’t know exactly why but I don’t like the way it looks. I think it’s how rounded off the corners are. And the dual-camera looks funny like my LG Optimus tab’s.

    • mxmgodin

Yeah, I don’t like the look of the camera bump at all.

    • Turanga Leela

Yeah, I like nice sharp corners like on my G3. I feel like the rounded look is very mid-2000s.

I think you shouldn’t show a picture of a G4 as the first image under a title of “best picture yet of the G5”. LOL Why not put “scroll down to see it” across that banner image?

  • TP

It is one ugly back. I much prefer G3 and G4.

  • Nick Bransford

Micro USB? Giant camera bump? Blah.

    • KrispyInTO

It’s got Type C, the first picture is the G4 which is stupid of them to post.

    • Nick Bransford

      Thanks for pointing that out

  • thereasoner

I really like the shape better than previous versions and the back reminds me of a cross between the Nexus 5X and 6p.

  • southerndinner

I was considering this or the S7 but if there G5 is this ugly, no thank you. That is truly a terrible design, I really hope it’s fake.

That camera bump is ugly, 2800 mAH battery really isn’t much to write home about and the colour is really quite nasty.

Looks better in Evans leak he just posted now

People are complaining about the battery, but a smaller battery will probably be one of the tradeoffs with having a removable battery. Nobody will put a removable 3500mAh battery in a phone.

    • southerndinner

There are so few people who actually will carry two batteries with them. I’d much prefer a bigger battery integrated than a smaller removable one.

    • Omar

Not including a removable battery hurt Galaxy S6 sales, I don’t think LG would be willing to risk that. A lot of people complain when removable batteries aren’t included in phones, even though it’s becoming the norm.

If I bought this phone I probably would carry one just because of how easy it would be to swap it out.

    • southerndinner

Removable battery didn’t hurt S6 – non expandable memory, not having water resistance and a high price were far more significant factors

    • Darknut

Right? The G2 was able to achieve such phenomenal battery life by making it ‘sealed’, or non-removable. They were able to maximize it’s size. The G3, G4 and V10 all had the same size battery because it was removable. If I had a nonremovable 4000mAh battery vs removble 3000, I’d take the 4000 every day all day.

Have you seen a BlackBerry Z30? Probably not but this looks a lot like one.
If it has the white on the bottom, it should have white on top. Other than that the protruding camera module should not be a protruding camera module.
I still think Sony has the best design ethos even though the company is no longer competitive.

  • Jerid Elzinga

This looks like a distinct step backwards from the very classy G4

  • manpreet singh

It looks better in white, I might pick it up instead of gs7 edge

I really don’t give much of a crap about how it looks, I generally do not parade around waving my phone around in people’s faces and force people to mandatorily stare at my phone whenever it is out of my pocket.

I just hope everything inside this phone sounds as good as the leaks tell us, good camera, good battery time, nice screen, hopefully a less buggy UI, capable of making phone calls, texts, and social networking.

WOW! It might be my next phone. Will wait and see what Samsung/HTC show up with too.

    • FlamesFan89

I totally agree. I mean, when you are spending flagship money, you want it to at least feel well built, buy ultimately, I care immensely more about the performance and features, than the shape of the corners or colour. I always use a case anyway.

  • ammanerz

to me it looks like a cylon…
but i’ll just throw a case on it, so who cares.
