If you’re familiar with MIUI, you know it looks almost nothing like the everyday Android versions we use on our devices. It’s light where ICS is dark; it is simple where ICS is full of menus; it is slick where others are clunky. But it’s taken a while for the Android 4.0-based version to be adapted to devices other than the Nexus S, which is still the only device it is officially available for in Ice Cream Sandwich flavours.
But some enterprising developers have taken it upon themselves to create a FrankenROM of sorts: a bit of MIUI framework, a dash of CyanogenMOD 9 code, a pinch of leaked official ICS ROM kernel, and a number of other bits and pieces that have come together to create a working, usable, and largely bug-free experience.
There are a few caveats when entering into such an intrepid union: battery life has been found to be underwhelming, and there are a couple things you need to do before using the ROM to make it work perfectly.
