RIM voted as “most attractive employer” by Canadian job seekers

FINALLY some good news in the press for Research in Motion! Even though the company is in the middle of streamlining their operations, the Waterloo-based company has won the 2011 Randstad Award for being the “most attractive employer”. RIM beat out IBM Canada, McGill University, Air Canada and Bombardier to claim the top spot. The results were based on “perceptions of 7,000 independently surveyed jobseekers”, but does not state when the results were gathered. Randstad stated the reason RIM was selected above the others was because they offer “a pleasant work atmosphere, career progression and quality training, as well as strong management, best salary and interesting job content”.

Congrats to everyone at RIM – hopefully the good new continues (and the current job cuts stop).
Bring on those new QNX devices!
