Apple iPhone 4 named top obsession of 2010

The iPhone is always a hot topic but this year was intensified as the 4th generation of the iPhone was leaked online, then had a massive reception issue that was dubbed “Antennagate”. Finally “Glassgate” came but then quickly vanished from the radar… Sales of the beloved touchscreen still soared and now Yahoo! has named the iPhone 4 as the top obsession of 2010. Followed is Lindsay Lohan in 2nd, then the iPad in 3rd spot.

  4. It’s certainly an obsession for all those people who don’t know how to wisely spend their money. No matter how good each iPhone is or will be, it’s always overpriced for the value it provides. But hey, if Apple is selling loads of iPhones each year, their marketing should be very good when all those fanboys continue to drop $600+ each year without giving it much thought.

    • What are you talking about?

16GB iPhone4 was $149.99, and Apple offered the subsidy to pretty much everyone. Including people who bought the 3GS at launch.

They basically lowered the subsidy term to 1 year (as opposed to the usual 3 years), and made the iPhone cheaper than the competition at the time.

I don’t know anyone that spent $600+ on the iPhone.

The phone itself is pretty good too, though I prefer Android.

  5. I gotta say I am not all that impressed with the iphone, it’s a good device but it is a pain to use in an enterprise situation. For a straight personal device I like it.

  9. LOL! this reminds me of the video “HTC Evo 4g Vs Iphone 4″ Check it out on youtube (2 little bear type figures as screen cap) the Iphone is just a brand, a name that everyone goes for…its “in style” to have an Iphone, and if you dont have an Iphone your considered “a dinosaur in the mobile phone revolution”… even if its not the case. check out the video. its hilarious(takes some time to build up, but its completely for serious(Im aware its not gramatically correct, no need to correct me)! The Iphone Blows HARD C03k. Android FTW
