Not the most amazing news but good to have a choice of colours! Wind most recently released the Nokia 5230 in White and they have followed this up by launching this touchscreen in Black. Same price point of $180 but hopefully a price drop will be coming soon.
Check it out here at WIND
(Thanks TrickyD!)
if WIND wants customers WIND needs to get their hands on some compatible phone.. and its not like there arent any phone compatible with WIND.. look at T-mobile in the states.. they got more phones thant hey can count.. and they both use the same technology.. and this statement also goes out to Mobilicity too..

@Rick Impossible as AWS spectrum is not principal commitment to most of the handsets manufacturers as considered very low revenue for some even no business at all for others.
AWS operating players will not have finest phones soon therefore do not set your hopes too high. If you love nice and exciting phones get used to idea that you will find them only to incumbents operating main spectrum which may take advantage of this situation

Just go to the T-Mobile site and look at their 3G phones, so you can see what they got and you will know for sure they will work on Wind/Mobilicity!

That is not true as T-Mobile does provide main 3G spectrum in most of the markets around their USA coverage. AWS is used by T-Mobile as complementary spectrum in some of their markets and phones you see on their website are mostly regular 3G handsets (as incumbents have in Canada) not necessarily AWS. Be careful when reading the website. T-Mobile may have one or two more AWS phones but pretty much the same AWS handsets are available there too as in Canada

yeah I wouldn’t pontificate on a subject like this unless I was confident in my knowledge and it’s my understanding that Wind using AWS. Where as T-Mobile uses something else AND AWS. So T-Mobile’s huge selection of phones is true but I highly doubt all of these phones use AWS. Considering how new AWS is (in my understanding) Probably only a few of them use AWS maybe only the ones that Wind has.
You have to side with Matthews. The phone selection is weak but that’s not their fault. This is a new spectrum and it’s gonna take a while for the phone manufacturers to get their phones up ‘to code’ as it were.

Why complain about the lack of phones they offer when you can just buy an unlocked phone from anywhere and hook it up with Wind. All you have to buy is a SIM card for $10.
