Bell cuts another 250 jobs

Bell has decided to cut a few more jobs, this time it’s 250 clerical jobs in Hamilton, Ont., Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. With the earlier cuts this year as part of Georg Cope’s 100-day plan, the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada is outraged and believe the cuts are the result of outsourcing.

Bell spokesman Jacques Bouchard denied that any of the jobs are being outsourced and said “We will work with a certain number of employees to help them find a new job at Bell.”
