Here are the free Xbox games hitting Games with Gold in May

Microsoft’s Games with Gold promotion in May includes Metal Gear Solid 5 and Vanquish. The list was spotted by Twitter user Wario64, who made note of an unlisted but official ‘Games with Gold’ video for the upcoming month.

  • Super Mega Baseball 2: May 1st – May 31st
  • Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain: May 16th – June 15th
  • Vanquish: May 16th – May 31st
  • Streets of Rage May 1st -May 15th

Super Mega Baseball 2 is an unreleased baseball management simulation. The game is scheduled to come out on May 1st. This means that Games with Gold members can get a completely new game for free. We’re currently unaware of Canadian pricing for the game. In the U.S., it will cost $29.99 USD ($38.51 CAD)

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is a 2015 game from Hideo Kojima. The stealth action game was the final entry in the Metal Gear Series to be directed by Kojima. Metal Gear Solid 5 is regularly priced at $29.99 CAD.

Sega Vintage Collection Streets of Rage is a 2D side-scrolling arcade game that was originally released on the Sega Genesis. It involves a variety of characters and should fill that nostalgic need to play old-timey video games. Sega Vintage Collection: Streets of Rage is regularly priced at $9.99.

Vanquish is a third-person shooter developed by Platinum Games. Created by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami and inspired by Gears of War, Vanquish follows Sam Gideon, a soldier wearing a suit that allows the player to effortlessly slide around the level. Vanquish is regularly priced at $19.99.

An Xbox Live Gold membership costs $69.99 for 12 months. Memberships can be purchased online or at retail stores like Best Buy, Walmart and EB Games.
