Rogers unveils new, easier to read monthly bill format

After announcing that it would start issuing a new, easier to read monthly bill, Rogers has finally started roll its new format.

Starting today, the beta version of the new bill is available both online and in paper. A video tutorial is available to help customers understand how it works.

One new feature of the reworked bill is a clearer table of contents that shows on what page different service are broken down. Rogers has also improved the wireless portion of the bill with a clearer that details talk and data usage. For those on a share plan, the new bill will highlight how much data and talk time each person on the account used.

In a statement issued to MobileSyrup, Rogers said, “We know customers don’t always understand their bill— it’s the number one reason our customers call us. So starting today, Rogers consumer wireless customers and customers with multiple products on one account will see a newly designed bill online, on mobile in a much more customer friendly format with easy to understand charges. We’re launching in beta first to allow time for us to gather customer feedback and make changes based on their recommendations before we start to roll out to all customers in the coming weeks.”

The latest report from the Commissioner for Complaints for Telecommunications Services (CCTS) says that the most common complaints Canadian telecommunications receive are regarding incorrect bills.
