Motorola really wants you to ditch your iPhone, adds iCloud support to Migrate app

When Motorola shipped the Moto X in August, it included a tiny app called Migrate, which allowed new customers to transfer settings, call logs, text messages and other content from an old device to their shiny new one.

In an update today, Motorola has expanded its pool of potential customers by allowing former iPhone users to sign into iCloud and transfer all their photos, videos, text messages, contacts and calendar events. It’s a small but important move for the OEM, as Android users don’t typically have an easy time switching from an iOS device unless they’re already entrenched in the Google ecosystem.

Motorola Migrate is compatible with the Moto X and Moto G running Android 4.2 and higher.
